Quick Trip to Walgreens & CVS (4/12)

I didn't have plans to go shopping today, so I wasn't super prepared.  I had to take my brother to the eye-doctor to get another pair of glasses because his contacts have started bothering his eyes.  Anyway, I had my son with me, so I just made quick in-and-out trips. 

CVS:
My main reason for going to CVS was in hopes that had the stuff I had rain checks for in-stock, and of course they didn't.  There were only a couple deals I was interested in this week at CVS, one being the $10 ECBs when you buy $20 in Lysol, Airwick, & Finish products.  I had several Internet coupons for $4 off the Airwick & Lysol automatic freshener starter kits. I was very surprised that CVS had several still in-stock. So, here is what I got...

• 2 Lysol Nurtrair Starter Kits: reg. $14.79, sale w. card $6.00, $4 off coupon= $2.00/each
• 2 Airwick I-Motion Starter Kits: reg. $9.99, sale w. card $5.00, $4 off coupons=$1.00/each
• Russel Stover Marshmallow Chocolate Egg: reg. $0.87, sale $0.74, I got back $0.74 ECBs (this sale is OVER tonight, it was a 3 day deal)
• Cookies: $1.00

I also had 2 ECBs from last week, which totaled $1.99.

Price (before CVS Card & coupons): $53.19
Out of Pocket: $7.51
BUT WAIT (this is the best part): I got back $10.74 in ECBs, PLUS I also received a $4 off $20 purchase (before coupons) coupon!!
So basically I got EVERYTHING FREE, plus made $7.23!! WOOHOO for getting paid to take stuff home!!

Walgreen's:

• 4 bags Kettle Chips: Sale 2/$3, plus I had $1 off 1 bag coupons=$0.50/each
• 8 Snickers Eggs: Sale $0.29, plus I had $1 off 2 coupons=$0.04/each (so basically FREE!)
• 12 pk Mtn Dew (these were for my daddy, he paid me back) $5.49
• 4 pk Sail Boats (of course my son had to have something, lol) $1.99

Total (before coupons): $16.00
OOP: $10.00 (then of course my daddy paid me back $6 for the drinks, so I really only spent $4 on everything I got, which calculates to about $0.31 for each item!!)

So I spent a total of $11.51 for everything (minus the drinks), but I got back $14.74 in coupons & ECBs, so technically EVERYTHING was FREE, plus I made $3.00!!
